A Pink Sundial

For breast cancer awareness month, the Sundial Bridge was lit pink yesterday.


There were tons of people milling around and checking out the scene.


I had fun playing with the light exposure setting on my camera.


My friend Nichole was president of the whole thing.


So peaceful and beautiful. I saw a family of women with three generations standing in awe of the symbol. It seemed as though breast cancer had touched their lives, and they were just soaking in what the event meant to them.


Nichole's husband JJ and his 3rd String Guitar Trio played at the event.






Great job Nichole, and everyone else that made this event possible!

Working on Three Months

Daphne is almost three months old already! She's been pretty busy this month too... Here are some of our favorite times.

Road Trip!

This month, Daphne went on her first big adventure. My brother Tim and his wife Margaret were celebrating their birthdays with a beach camping trip. Tim (hubby Tim) had to start work, so he couldn't go... but I decided that Daphne and I were due for our first mother-daughter adventure. We camped just across the street from this beautiful Malibu beach.



Here's Daph in her warm camping clothes. She loved the tent. It was her first time sleeping through the entire night!



My mom and dad came up from AZ. And there is cousin Carter. He just loves his baby cousin.



At night we played with glow sticks. Heather and I made up this super cool birthday dance for Tim and Margaret, but of course my camera died for it.



Daphne stayed in the shade all day, but she decided to make an appearance for pictures.

So after the camping trip we decided to top it off with a little Disneyland and CA Adventures.



But mostly CA Adventures because it was way less crowded and way more awesome.



Tim worked the Fast Pass system and got us on so many rides without waiting.

Luukkonen Visit
